Home / Smart buildings: CO2 Solution for Hotels

Guarantee excellent Indoor Air Quality in your hotel

Wireless Sensors and Monitoring Dashboard

The pandemic has boosted the awareness about the importance of good Air Quality and hotels have the unique opportunity to use CO2 sensors as confidence boosters for their guests and allow the industry to recover to pre-pandemic levels.

Poorly ventilated spaces and high levels of CO2 have been named as the most common cause for viruses transmission during the pandemic and have other known negative effects on human health (headaches, dizziness and more).

* Starter Kit consists of: 3xCO2 Sensor and Notifier + 1xLoRaWAN Gateway + MClimate Enterprise access.

✅ Ensuring healthy air quality for 14 hotels and counting

Why measuring CO2 levels is so important?

While you are breathing, you are exhaling CO2. Naturally, CO2 builds up gradually depending on how many people are in the room. The higher the CO2, the worst health effects you are experiencing. Dizziness, headache, poor performance, loss of concentration are just some of the effects of breathing air with too much CO2 content.

CO2 is the best indicator whether a place is well ventilated.
Viruses that are airborne are more likely to be transmitted to others if a room is poorly ventilated - naturally, a sick person breathes our virus particles that later can infect healthy individuals.

Common effects on people in poor air-quality environments:

Headache

Feeling lethargic

Dizziness

Decreased performance

Memory impairment

Vision issues

Our solution

We help you monitor the indoor air quality with easy to install CO2 sensors that have practically zero maintenance for years. You also get access to your own dashboard, where you can see live and historic data, configure alarms, etc. Moreover, each sensor has configurable LED and acoustic notifications to notify occupants if the CO2 content in the room is too high and they need to open a window or turn on the ventilation.

LoRaWAN connectivity

10 years battery life

10 minutes check intervals

Manual “Check” button

Sound alarm

Light alarm

Meet MClimate CO2 Sensor LoRaWAN

The device runs flawlessly on 2xAA batteries for up to 10 years and thanks to LoRaWAN can effortlessly communicate with the building's gateway through many floors and walls.

How it works?

Light & acoustic notification

Visually and acoustically notify occupants of the quality of the air. Prompt immediate response to open a window or run the ventilation.

Wireless connectivity

Install 1x LoRaWAN gateway per building and receive data from 1000+ sensors.

Extra-long battery life

Sensors have up to 10 years of battery life with 2xAA batteries thanks to LoRaWAN connectivity.

Sensors

AQI and CO2 sensors measuring the air quality in real-time. Sensors also track the temperature and humidity.

Occupancy

Derive occupancy of spaces based on the CO2 readings and AQI index.

Software tools

Understand air quality and CO2 data, view real-time and historic data. Receive alerts and tips how to improve it.

COVID-19

SARS-CoV-2 transmission via aerosols – tiny droplets that do not settle due to gravity – is known to play some role in the pandemic. It is unclear how often aerosol transmission occurs, but we know that we must act to mitigate it, through a combination of actions such as increasing fresh air supply.

If CO2 levels are increasing over time, it means that there is not enough fresh outdoor air getting into the room for the number of people present.

Despite the widespread use of CO2 monitoring in building systems to save energy and reduce costs, the use of CO2 monitoring as a public health tool has only recently gained attention.
