MClimate Open/Close Sensor LoRaWAN® is a small device that immediately detects the event of opening or closing windows, doors, cabinets, and more through a magnetic reed switch to report and trigger automation. It features an LED light that signals the status of the devices and a button that triggers an uplink. The device sends an uplink for every event of opening and closing and keeps an internal counter of the total number of events. It is equipped with a temperature sensor for accurately measuring the indoor climate and has ultra-low power consumption, reaching a battery life of up to 10 years. It operates in LoRaWAN Class A and as all other MClimate devices, supports FUOTA (Firmware Upgrades Over The Air).

Avoid placement near large metal objects, as they may interfere with RF signal quality. We recommend installing the device in an open environment (e.g. not in a recess).

How does Open/Close Sensor work?

Open/Close Sensor contains of two bodies - a main and a second one. When installing the Open/Close Sensor, place the main body on the door and the second body (the smaller one) on the frame (make sure there's no more than 1 cm of space between the two pieces).

How many Open/Close Sensors can I use?

You can use as many Open/Close Sensors you need. You can monitor them all from our mobile app, MClimate Enterprise or any other building management IoT platform.

Where should I install Open/Close Sensor?

You can install it wherever is suitable for your particular use. The device is applicable on any doors and windows. Furthermore, you can use it on cabins, drawers, safes and so on.

Should I drill intro the wall and do I need any special tools to install it?

No, you don’t need to drill into your wall, and neither you need any special tools. This Open/Close Sensor provides an easy, peel and stick instalment. Adhesive tape and screws are included in the kid, allowing multiple installation options to a wide variety of frames.
