A very important part of every air conditioner is its filter. This is a fine net that filters the air from airborn particles. If you don't clean your air conditioner's filters regularly, the dirt lowers the efficiency of the AC. The cleaning of the filters is easy and does not take a lot of time or efforts. Here's what you should do: Before you start, make sure your air conditioner is turned off. 
Open the front panel of the air conditioner, while holding both sides. 
Release the front part of the filter, then pull the whole filter out carefully. 
Take out both filters. 
Wash them under running water with the help of a soft brush. 
Make sure the filters are completely dry, before putting them back in place. 
Start sliding the filter from the back, then place the front part as well and secure it. 
Put both filters in your air conditioner and close the front panel.
